leaving Dingle

We slept in a little longer this morning and had breakfast at 9:00am.  We finally learned the names of the two servers, Mae and Uraka (she is from Lithuania – my father was Lithuanian!!!).  Shared some more conversation with Helen, who is a delight.  Her words, “you use this to think with (pointing to your head) and you use this to dance with” – pointing to the lower half of your body.  Helen is from a town north of Dublin and Brian is from Limerick.  Both worked in hotels and built the Castlewood Country House 8 years ago.  The house is fabulous!!

Helen & Brian

Our drive from Dingle to Killarney took a little less than 2 hours.  The drive took us through the country giving us more great views of the Irish countryside.  We pulled over to take photos of Inch Beach.

Next stop is Killarney, better known to Jessica as “K-1”.  We have Killarney, Kinsale, and Kilkenny on the itinerary and all the K’s are confusing her.  🙂
